New Products of Panerai

In 2005, P.2002 watch movement is the first one researched and developed by Panerai itself. Power storage for 8 days watch adopted this hand mechanical movement that represented the latest technology. This watch movement consists of 245 parts (among them 191 parts are not the same), and its main power storage is designed in a new device, comprising three gossamer rod (Panerai’s patent) and a frequency of 4 Hz free induction balance pendulum, and vibration frequency is 28800 times per hour. Horizontal dynamic storage display (Panerai’s patent) is located in the six o'clock position. P. 2002 movement also has GMT, local time of above 12 hours, as well as the a.m. and p.m., hour, minutes and seconds. Time regulating system adopts zeroed device, when the crown is pulled out, the pendulum stops and the second hand backs to zero, which guarantees watch and standard time adjusting are extremely precision. Because of complicated technology, Panerai spent four years to complete the research and development of this watch movement.

 

In 2006 Panerai in "SIHH Geneva High-grade Horologe Exhibition” published 2006 new Panerai watches series and Ferrari watch series. Following in 2005 it launched the first watch movement researched and developed by itself - P.2002 and RADIOMIR power storage for 8 days GMT watch that used this self-produced watch movement, this year Panerai made persistent efforts to launch the second watch that used Panerai homemade movement - Luminor power storage for 8 days GMT watch, and created the first watch series that matched up with the homemade watch movement - Manifattura Collection. Manifattura watch series absolutely followed the Panerai quality standards, and good quality was combined with precision technical performance and the unique watch style. In addition to Panerai new watch series, another significant series was Ferrari watch series especially produced for Ferrari car factory. Appearance design of Ferrari watch carefully turned to car’s engine machinery and car body lines some details for guidance, and Ferrari car distinctive style was visible in this watch. Ferrari watch series were divided into Granturismo and Scuderia two series. Granturismo series conveyed elegant sport style. Scuderia series showed strong and car element. Two watch series all showed delicate sport style and sophisticated technology connotation.

 

In 2007, following ten years ago successfully launched Panerai brand and in 2005 launched P.2002 movement, Panerai again proudly announced to introduce three movements entirely designed, planed and produce by Panerai itself, which provided power for the brand's future works. Panerai recently opened the first store in Hong Kong besides in Italy, and this also was the first time this brand opened the store since in 2001 it reopened family store in Florence. This store was located in the Prince Building of Central Hong Kong, covered an area of 45 square meters. The store's design was responsible by famous Italy architect and was completed under the art supervision of Panerai Italy headquarters. Designers kept the brand’s important element, and combined ancient with modern characteristics, then integrated into the new environment.
