Brief History about Vacheron Constantin

In 1755, silver watch designed by Jean-Marc Vacheron, Rome digital plated on enamel digital dial, this is the first clock of Vacheron Constantin.

 

In 1839, Vacheron Constantin developed a revolutionary way of producing watches and clocks. Improved lever escapement invented by Mr. Leschot after two years have successfully been researched and developed. Since then watch making factory had industrialized foundation. Vacheron Constantin bought the parts and used machine to compose them in advance, and then cut and polished by hand, while watch maker had more ample time to use artistic talent to create, of course, Vacheron Constantin also took the advanced position in the watch industry at that time.

 

In 1877, mechanical part and the watchcase of watches and clocks were separated to produce.

 

In 1880, it got Malta cross trademark, later it become the trademark of Vacheron Constantin.

 

In 1881, a work of Vacheron Constantin was listed as treasure by Yale University. In 1910, after several years of research Vacheron Constantin decided to join the watch production, at that time it became a new trend.

 

In 1928, an 18 karat gold pocket watch "GRAND COMPLICATION" was produced, including the function of reading seconds in one minute. While the other surface is a pointer indication, having alarm clock, calendar, the lunar phases display function, limited production of three.

 

In 1929, on the market a pocket watch appeared. The golden watchcase was marked a pair of Egyptian Royal Arms, and this is a present that Switzerland in Egypt colonies sent to Egyptian king Fouad I, with the function of reading hour in 30 minutes, reading seconds in one minute and calendar.
