1845: Ferdinand Adolph Lange in Glashutte town near Germany Dresden
established Saxon fine watch factory.
1898: Kaiser William II ordered a noble pocket watch from A. Lange &
Söhne, as a gift gave to Sultan Abdul Hamid II when visited the Ottoman
Empire.
1924: Walter Lange was born in Dresden, and he would continue the previous
steps and learn watch making art.
1945: the last day of the world war Ⅱ, main production department of A.
Lange & Söhne watch factory was destroyed.
1948: manufacturing factory was owned in state by the East German
government. Walter Lange leaved East Germany and immigrated to West Germany.
Family enterprises become the common assets; A. Lange & Söhne brand come to
nothing, and A. Lange &
Söhne watch making factory become a legend.
October 3, 1990: East Germany and West Germany was reunification. Walter
Lange returned to Glashutte. December 7 of the same year, he again registered
the traditional trademark A. Lange & Söhne.
1994: A. Lange & Söhne bobbed up like a cork, when the first A. Lange
& Söhne of new century displayed in Dresden, it was the time that German
rebuild the reputation of high-grade watches and clocks.
2000: A. Lange & Söhne joined Mont Blanc.
