The business scope of Parmigiani Fleurier

Parmigiani Fleurier’s business scope today focuses on three main aspects: repairing antique watches and clocks, specially producing models for the main watches brand and Parmigiani Fleurier watches.

 

First, repairing watches and clocks. In 1975, when the Swiss watch industry was filled with untold suffering, Michel Parmigiani decided to set up his own company - PARMIGIANI MESURE ET ART DU TEMPS. Against the trend of that time, he decided to participate in the adventure of watch making, and his wife in almost every category of his work has given the support .As mechanical technician and tool manufacturing experts, his father also played a decisive role. Michel Parmigiani now took the most of his energy on repairing epoch-making watches, creating new watch movements and producing watches finished goods for some famous brand. Famous museums, such as Paris Museum of the Decorative Arts, all asked it to repair those famous works. Main private collections, such as collections from the Santos family foundation and a famous Swiss museum, all were repaired by Michel Parmigiani.

 

Pendule Sympathique is a very excellent and outstanding timer. Experts have always thought that no one could repair it and this famous works would be lost forever. But, Parmigiani master and his colleagues in 1991 repaired it. Today, Pendule Sympathique has completely been restored and again showed its past glory.

 

In 1996, Santos family foundation got the main stock of Parmigiani Mesure et Art Du Temps, and contributed to the production of Parmigiani Fleurier brand watches and clocks series. Fund’s commitment reflects their support for business and plan that has contribution for Swiss quality reputation and creation and is favorable for Swiss cultural traditional reputation. Also in 1996, pocket watch, small-sized table clock and wrist watch were produced for the first time in Parmigiani Mesure et Art Du Temps factory. Because the vast majority of production processes was completed are in its own factory, Parmigiani Fleurier had a broad creative space. Armillary sphere clock could show that the moon and the earth revolved around the sun, now this timepiece is the best collection of antique timepiece in Milan Sforzesco Museum. In 1999, annual production of Fleurier workshop of is less than 900 watches and clocks.
