This design was introduced in 1947 by the famous United States artist Nathan George Horwitt, fully embodying the essence of 1920’s Bauhaus design school; in 1960 it was collected permanently by the New York Museum of modern art, and it was the first watch receiving this honor, so it also was called Museum Watch. Movado brand was created by Achill Dietz in 1905. In the first several years of 1920’s, the ordinary performance of Movado company is impressive a series of inventions and patents. In 1910, Movado won awards in Brussels Expo, and in Switzerland and abroad successively have gained precision award of watch competition.
