Oris watch

At the beginning of twentieth Century, 1904 Paul Cattin and Georges Christian in Switzerland set up Oris watch manufacturing factory.

 

In 1925, Oris set up its own electroplating factory.

 

In 1938, the legendary pointer calendar watch started to be produced, and this built a new milepost for Oris. Since then, pointer calendar watch has always been one of Oris series' products.

 

In 1949, Oris created a high quality alarm clock. It pioneered a alarm clock needing winding for every eight days. Until today, this alarm clock is still used.

 

In 1952, the first automatic movement of power storage was launched--cal. 601.

 

1966, Oris 25 stone lever escapement automatic movement, famous in world, reliable and durable, cal. 645 was published formally.

 

In 1968, Oris movement cal. 652 won observatory certificate issued by Neuchatel observatory, representative of excellent quality and one of the most accurate chronometer.

 

In 1970, Oris and Dubois Depraz jointly developed and produced the first timer stopwatch.

 

In 1988 Oris launched the first mechanical alarm clock watch of limited production. The last group movement in this series watch originally was manufactured by A. Schild Company, after improved by Oris, assembled in elegant watchcase.

 

In 1989, after 51 years the first pointer calendar published, Oris launched a new style pointer calendar automatic watch.

 

In 1990 Oris Player is timing and counting watch, this watch core combined watches function and counting function, according to the Ferdinand Surdez's patents, then researched and developed, and produced by Oris in limited number.

 

In 1991 Oris launched the first automatic watch of complex functions with reasonable price. In addition to display hour, minutes and seconds, it also displays moon phases, date, week and the time of the second time zone. Therefore, it was sold out in the worldwide as soon as it appeared on the market.

 

In 1993 Oris successfully developed and launched a new movement--cal. 640, this movement is characterized by a small second wheel installed in the position of nine o'clock, accompanying with pointer calendar.

 

In 1994, in order to celebrate the ninety anniversary of Oris, it specially and limitedly launched 90 18K Rose Gold Commemorative watches, each watch was individually numbered.
