Andre J. Heiniger carry forward Rolex and make it
having good reputation and position, which is closely connected with Andre J.
Heiniger’s inspiration and passion. In 1921Heiniger was born in La Schade Finn,
Hans Wilsdorf in the first time saw him, and he had the full trust and sincere
respect for him.
They both love to contact with people and pursue perfection. In 1948
Wilsdorf invited Heiniger to join in Rolex to work. He spent six years working
in Buenos Aires, responsible for the development of market. In 1955 he returned
to Geneva and was promoted to the board member of Rolex. In 1964, he replaced
Wilsdorf and became the general manager of Rolex.
He faithfully inherited the business of Rolex Founder, and continuously
improved the quality and technological innovation, for the enterprise brought
new flavor: internationalization. The first step of this decision was to move
corporation headquarters from downtown to a beautiful new building of the
suburbs. Then, Heiniger began his expedition, traveled to every corner of the
world to open up new markets. He had a remarkable predictive power, and he
decided in the main city of all continents to set up branches, which was a great
pioneering undertaking at that time.
Heiniger during his tenure also established Rolex spirit of
enterprise award, and this award is given every three years, encouraging those
people who have made outstanding contributions in the aspect of applications in
science, invention and creation, exploration, scientific discovery and
environmental protection.
Rolex’s general manager currently is Patrick Heiniger. Patrick Heiniger in
Rolex's "family" grew up, loved enterprise’s tradition. He served ten years as
Rolex's lawyer, was later appointed business manager, general manager.
The expansion project that Rolex World Headquarters begin planning from
1960’s was completed in 1995, and it is a sign of more than 80 years creation,
innovation, progress, and it is the sign matching up enterprise spirit that its
leaders pay attention.
Rolex's all staffs for a common goal work hard; Rolex continues to develop
its tradition, and still in all over the world as representative of Geneva and
high quality watches and clocks.
Rolex brand ranked in the top seventy-ninth in the 2006 annual "world brand
500 strong" compiled by World Brand Lab.
December 30, 2008, in selection activity of “2008 World Brand Value Lab
Annual Award" held by World Brand Value Lab – a research institution of world
authority brand value, Rolex, with a good brand image and brand vitality, was
crowned as "China's most competitive brand list" award, and won universal praise
from vast number of consumers.
