Design change: large diameter design become the mainstream, watch band become longer and sturdier

 

In the period of many watch factories inventing in waterproof function, in human history there have been two "world war”. In fact, nowadays, many mechanical and invention are due to the needs of war such as "penicillin" .The watch also is not exceptional , during World War II, the pilot watch and diving watch were the best examples. The two military watch not only must be equipped with antimagnetic or waterproof function, but also one of the most important design is the focus that the dial must be large enough and is easy to read, so, big size watch began to appear. Because early pilots need to hold the lever with their two hands, their most usual practice is to put the watch in the thigh, large dial like dashboards make them quickly and accurately read time. The commando divers need to wear heavy diving suit, so the watchband also must be lengthened and very strong, to resist the impact of water.
