In 1832 the Swiss August Agassi in Saint-Imier began clock business, and later his nephew Ernest Francio continued to expand their business. In 1866 in Switzerland LesLongines opened a watch factory. In 1867 Franci Jung registered "Longines" company, Longines brand was born formally, the same year the first movement of Longines watch-L20A was produced. Longines is the company established by Ernest Francelin in the Swiss Amir. Its origins can be traced to 1930’s. Longines also has the oldest watch registered trademarks (a winged hourglass) .Now Longines Company belonging to the Swatch group.
