The development of Panerai Ⅱ


In 1997 Vendôme group (now the Richemont group) purchased Panerai brand, took over the production of watch, compass, flashlight and depth measuring instrument. Watch factory began to launch new products, to enhance production quality. Originally as designated watches for the Italy naval forces, since launched in the global market, it increasingly demonstrated significant international status.
 
In 1998 Panerai for the first time launched mechanical automatic winding watches in the international market: Luminor Submersible, Luminor GMT, and Luminor Power Reserve that could display the residual energy of movement.
 
In 1999 at the Geneva International Exhibition of advanced clocks and watches, Panerai introduced several modern series that had through great innovation, including Panerai Luminor watch having small watchcase, diameter up to 40 mm, with metal watchstrap; another one Luminor chronograph, with timing function, and its watchcase had been redesigned and completely followed usual aesthetics of the watch factory; another one Panerai Luminor timing watch, using titanium alloy and fine steel two kinds of excellent materials to produce watch case and chain.
 
In 2000 Panerai designed Luminor Submersible - professional diving watch of 1000 meters, in full compliance with NIHS diving watch specification. It can withstand pressure underwater 1000 meters, and the thickness of surface’s sapphire crystal glass is up to 5.1 mm, and watch case thickness is up to 3 mm, with a helium valves special for decompression.
 
In 2004 Radiomir series became more prominent because of “8 Days” watches. This wrist watch was very retro and again used the key of modern mechanical watches – hand winding power storage for 8 days movement after through the test of “Officine Panerai”. The 1940s watches all used Angelus movement, while the latest watches was based on Jaeger-LeCoultre movement. Watch case diameter is 45 mm, and the perfect combination of delicate watch ear and arc outer ring of watchcase, and screw-in watch back and crown ensured the100 meters waterproof depth.

Brand History of TISSOT


Swiss TISSOT watches, over 150 years of exquisite watch making history, since 1853 was committed to continuously manufacturing perfect and precision watches and clocks.
